Reporter, James Quinn says that executives stay with GE for life, but this is not the case for Scott Donnelly, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Textron Inc. Donnelly recently joined Textron after 19 years of service with GE, most recently as the CEO of GE Aviation. “There was a big attraction in this position,” Donnelly admits. “The opportunity presented itself to work for a great company and broaden my responsibilities and to work with a guy like Lewis [Lewis Campbell, chairman, president and CEO, Textron Inc.] who’s done so much here over the past 10 years.”
