Textron Businesses

Textron consists of numerous subsidiaries and operating units. These businesses are known by familiar brand names, including Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft, Greenlee and E-Z-GO, among others. Every Textron business [1] is intensely committed to delivering innovative, market-leading solutions that ensure the success of our customers. Today, we continue to expand our leadership positions in five core business segments:

Bell (20% of 2008 revenues)

Bell

Bell Helicopter [2] is a leader in the global helicopter industry and the pioneer of tiltrotor aircraft. Bell Helicopter is committed to providing every customer with products and services of the highest quality.

 

Cessna (40% of 2008 revenues)

Cessna

This segment consists of Cessna Aircraft Company, [3] the leading worldwide manufacturer of general aviation aircraft, with product lines spanning single-engine piston aircraft, utility turboprop aircraft and Citation business jet models. Citation customers have access to a network of 10 company-owned Citation Service Centers.

Textron Systems (15% of 2008 revenues)

Textron Systems

Textron Systems [4] segment has been providing innovative solutions to the defense, homeland security and aerospace communities for over 50 years. Textron Systems includes AAI Corporation, Lycoming Engines, Overwatch Geospatial Systems, Overwatch Tactical Operations, Textron Defense Systems, and Textron Marine & Land Systems.

Industrial (20% of 2008 revenues)

The Industrial segment is a diverse collection of high-powered industrial businesses including Greenlee [5], E-Z-GO, Jacobsen [6], and Kautex [7].

Finance (5% of 2008 revenues)

Finance

Textron Financial [8] is a diversified commercial finance company that provides financing programs for products manufactured by its parent company, Textron Inc..
