Textron Systems Winning Technology for Defense, Homeland Security and Aerospace Textron's Systems [1] is comprised of five businesses, including subsidiaries and operating divisions. Textron Systems is known for its unmanned aircraft systems, armored vehicles, advanced marine craft, intelligent battlefield and surveillance systems, intelligence software solutions, precision smart weapons, piston engines, test and training systems, and total life cycle sustainment service. In 2008, these businesses generated 15 percent of Textron's total revenues. This segment has manufacturing facilities in 3 countries, and approximately 6,400 employees, of which 1 percent are based outside the United States. AAI Corporation AAI's [2] businesses range from tactical unmanned aircraft systems for the U.S. Army and allied armed forces to training and simulation systems, automated aircraft test and maintenance equipment, armament systems, logistical and engineering services, and other leading-edge technology solutions for aerospace and defense.

Lycoming Engines

Currently, more than half the world's general aviation fleet, both rotary and fixed wing, is powered by Lycoming® [3] piston engines. Lycoming produces the most complete line of horizontally opposed, air cooled four, six, and eight cylinder aircraft engines available, with power ranging from 100 to 400 HP.

Overwatch

Overwatch [4] [5] is the leading provider of commercial off the shelf image exploitation and geospatial analysis software tools and a world-class provider of multi-source intelligence framework solutions for the warfighter, first responder and counter terrorism analysts.

Textron Defense Systems

Textron Defense Systems [1] manufactures air launched weapons, smart submunitions, intelligent battlefield munitions and sensor systems, and ground and airborne surveillance systems.

Textron Marine & Land Systems [6] is a world leader in the design, production, and support of advanced marine craft, light armored combat vehicles, turrets and related subsystems.
